I think the 1st snitch that Harry ever caught was the one professor Dumbledore enchanted and used so that he could give Marvolo Gaunt's ring and the resurrection stone to Harry

Hmm, I think it's also that Harry was able to catch the snitch even when he was being jinxed by professor Quirrell, he caught it in his mouth. It was a valid catch, and it also helped so that the snitch would recognize Harry
