Recently had the opportunity to draw a live turkey vulture. He has a wing injury and is not able to be returned to the wild.Related content

Unfortunately it's a permanent injury. :c It happened years ago and isn't causing him any pain, but it's unlikely he'd survive in the wild with it. The rescue keeps him as an education and outreach bird now.

Really? That's so strange to me - though I did grow up in a desert, where "vulture over cow skull" is kind of the stereotype image.
