Today is the 100th day of school in Allanapolis. Mrs. Calvert’s class is celebrating the 100th day by putting 100 stars on the board. Mrs. McAndreson has her students arrange 100 blocks in different groups, showing all the factors of 100, such as 1 group of 100, 2 groups of 50, 4 groups of 25, 5 groups of 20, 10 groups of 10, 20 groups of 5, 25 groups of 4, 50 groups of 2, and 100 groups of 1. The class writes a list of 100 words and spells them out. At recess, the children count the number of jumps to 100 one by one. Then, at lunch, everyone eats in the classroom, and Mrs. McAndreson brings out a big cake that says “Happy 100 days of school!” for dessert.
