History!

Evangeline was born and raised within Sinnoh, specifically Solaceon Town. Her parents ran the day care center located conveniently within the little town. When she had grown to be about 14 she began helping out around the day care, tending to the younger kids while also playing with the ones of the town she grew up with. When she had spare time and wasn't attending to the children , Eva along with her friends would often visit the Solaceon Ruins to see what they could find within.

Other times, if not venturing out to the ruins, Eva would help out the neighbors with milking the miltanks, or help obtain eggs from the Torchics, and during certain party nights she'd perform Acrobatics and ride the Mechanical Tauros. To put it simply, Eva's life was pretty normal, simple. As she grew older, turning 16 she began to love working with the old parts that were found lying around the local barn of Solaceon, and began to find she had a knack for inventing and creating! She modified the gloves she'd normally wear, attaching gears from the gloves, to her arms and shoulders, just for looks of course.

She had also helped create, along with her friends, the newest metallic Bouffalant that had at first been so foreign to them, but upon reading the weekly papers written in the Press House within the town, the different types of herding pokemon from another region soon interested the other local farmers.

Life in Solaceon was nice, and Eva truly couldn't complain. However, the burning desire to see more, to venture out abroad into the world, that is what she truly longed for. The few times she had visited the ruins with her companions were when she felt so dangerous, so daring, so free... To have multiple adventures like that every day? Now that would be something.

Days passed, and for a while, Eva contemplated on speaking with her parents. One night, she had confronted them with the subject, asking to go out on her own journey. They agreed, but only until she turn 18. She complied to this request, and for the remainder of her stay until her 18th birthday in Solaceon, she continued to work at the day care, and also create small knick knacks of gears, cobs, and bolts.

When her 18th birthday had finally arrived, a going away party was held. One final time did she dance with the friends she'd grown up with since birth, the ones she helped take care of at the daycare, and the families that were just as close knit to her as her real one was.

As a going away present, she was presented with her grandfather's bolo tie as well as a sealed letter. Her mother had said that a few days before, this letter had been given to the family. The seal had been engraved with gears, and knowing that their daughter had a thing for creating and inventing, figured she should be the one to open it. Upon doing so, she read what was contained inside. In minutes, she knew that this was where her new start would begin.

This was where the journey would really take place. She was about to embark on something that felt so surreal until now. With her parents blessing, and her loved ones behind her to support, she made her way Canalave City to board the ship to bring her to this strange, mysterious place.

As she journeyed there, she wondered to herself. Who was this Cornelius fellow? This... Steam Island... what was held there that would make this journey something to log as one of the greatest adventures had..? This, Eva thought, was about to become life changing.

Personality!

Evangeline is a very care free and laid back Monferno. She finds herself for the most part easy to get along with, and always looks on the positive side of things. She is very optimistic and energetic, as most Monferno's tend to be. She loves being silly and finds herself rather loud and boisterous when she is in good company with friends or family.

She loves to help out, even with the smallest thing, and wants to handle tasks she feels she can perform to its fullest. She's hard driven, when she wants to be anyways! Sometimes she'll have lack of interest, which can cause for that laid back, procrastination, which tends to be her downfall when due dates arise.

Overall Eva is a cheerful and playful Monferno, if you're a true friend to her she'll enjoy doing the silliest of things with you. However, she tends to become very stubborn at times, and has a nasty habit of not wanting to give up sometimes when it is for the best.

Sometimes her own immaturity and obliviousness gets her into trouble, as well due to her energetic behavior.
