Ta dah! This is it, the golden dress that took months to create! And nearly kicked my butt as well! This is m first version of her ballgown, but I just changed the colors and a bit of the design as well. This is probably one of the biggest challenges I have taken so far to date! Mitsurugi from Soul Calibur 4 is right neck to neck with this dress! And the person who I helped with the Soul Calibur cosplay made me the keybalde in return! I am just so in love with it though I have somethings I want to spruce up and add to it to wear for Anime USA for the Celestial Ball! (Jenna-Sama we are so keeping the ZexiBelle alive!) the dress and keyblade are not available for sale and it was made specifically to fit me, however I can be commissioned to make the dress!

Materials cost depends on what you buy and the quality of materials, but for the dress in total the labor would be 300 since its a fully boned laced up bodice with good quality boning and the skirt takes quite a while too, and I have to alter and fit a pattern for you as well and make the roses that go on the skirt. It's a good almost getting away with murder price for the dress I feel since there's a woman who makes a less grand version of Belle's dress on Ebay along with other princess costumes but hers run for 500+

You finally did it. Though I say that now when it was done two years ago, my breath is still taken away. I had forgotten all about deviantart, and when I finally came back, I remembered your determination to create a Bell gown. And here it is, done and, I assume, perfected now. This is a definite two thumbs up. Congrats Allen, congrats.

Can I ask what 2 patterns you combined to make this dress?

I combined a Butterick strapless wedding gown pattern for the top bodice and a vampire countess pattern for the skirt. To make the ruching (gathering) I just made really long panels and gathered them up at the sides to get the draped effect.

I actually combined patterns for it and they;re now both out of print but its pretty simple to combine the two patterns together.

i found one similar to the belles dress except i would have to gather it and the sleeves and a few other things

for her ballgown there's no sleeves its a strapless, boned bodice. And the skirt you can easily add more panels, though I would make the skirt pieces longer than they actually need be to have enough to gather at the sides to create the ruching effect.

it took about 3 months, on and off, don't mind at all, ask away! And yes, I love her work, I want to make a Labyrinth dress soon, but if I want to judge it I want to make Princess Garnet's wedding dress from FFVII because it is gorgeous!

patterns, even if you have to mesh em together, they at least give you a basic idea of how you want the dress to look and how much fabric to buy. I used the same skirt pattern for my overskirt (with twice as much length) and underskirt, and the same bodice pattern is used for this dress, being used for Belle's Winter Dress and was even used for my friend Sarah's Sleeping Beauty dress. Just different variations on sleeve and collars thats all.

This is one of my favorite Belle dresses I've seen. I like that you used more of a gold pallette rather than the typical bright yellow. [Not that I don't like yellow, it's just not a good color for everyone and doesn't look great in all lighting.]
