I feel like this should be version 1, because Sans has the ability to remember the past timeline. If this is the au where Alphys is his soulmate then he would risk his own life to save her (v1 ). He seems like the kind of guy who would belive "What the point of living if you can't share it with your soulmate.

Never thought about that to be honest but this drawing is old and was posted a few years ago. First I drew Sans saving Alphys, then I've thought about another "what if" idea and that's how I ended up putting them in an "proper" order.

Gosh, this is intense. Both versions are awesome, but I like this one more, even though Alphys is being killed. It was amazing to see the determination of Alphys to stand up again after being struck down and pursue Frisk (yep, I see the child as Frisk) in order to eliminate a threat to monsterkind. I like how you don't make her look like an helpless victim. Great job!

Thanks! Yeah, that's something I don't see often in the fandom and thought it would be too odd not to see her fighting back, no matter what.
Sure Alphys doesn't look much as a fighter, but she can be quite dangerous if feeling threatened.
