Maybe,Β if gems were created by humanlike aliens, then Rose Quartz was among the first to be created. Maybe humanlike qualities decreased as the Gems distanced themselves from their former masters.

I'd say Garnet's like the type of mom who allows her kid to make his own mistakes and she'd be there to make him feel better and teach a lesson. So like an experienced mother. Pearl's the type to be super overprotective, but with good intentions. So like a first time mother who's really nervous, but wants to do what's best for her kid. Amethyst is definitely the rambunctious older sister to Steven, but I see shades of a fun, carefree mother in her too at times (that might just be me though). To sum up, I see them all as three caring moms who all raise Steven in different ways but love him all the same.
