Description For those too young to remember...Twiggy was the one and only ΓΌbermodel of the late 1960s who made skinny "in". By blending pop art with fashion, the doe-eyed, pouty-lipped girl with the angelic face and boyish haircut took the industry by storm at age 17 defining the age of "flower power" almost singlehandedly.

I absoloutely love this! It makes perfect sense, because she was a fashion icon in the '60's which is also the "flower power" decade. Mad props!

what a great idea It looks very 1960 especially because it looks like a screenprint.
Twiggy is still going strong - she's in an advert on UK TV - still thin but I think she looks better now, less innocent maybe
Nice work

the irreverent monochromatic areas are very fitting for a retro model. this is genius -- well done!

Oh yeah, Twiggy.. I was born 1971, but I understand that she was the mother-of-all-eating-disorders XD

Great picture, I really like it.. it somehow reflects my imaginary picture of the subject.

Advanced (and constructive) critique-part: I think it would not make it worse if the shading on the cheek-areas on her face would be rasterized with more detail, the way the eye-eyebrow-line is now rasterizwd.. and even further - rasterizing the whole image manually and dropping one color might also give the image more taste of minimalism.. would make it more silhouette-like, without losing too much depht of the shape. (Or then again, might just look like crap, on some ideas )

AllieDis In reply to Turha [2006-06-15 19:39:11 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! god...I'm so lame...I don't know anything about rasterizing...LOL
