Remember the Crazy-ass Star Wars campaign I was in last year?I made a poster of it as a going-away present for our GM.
From the left:
Grozznik, Wookiee: Pilot, BFFs with the Trandoshan, stemming from an incident involving a Huttese stripper. His most glorious moment was piloting a stolen x-wing in an imperial race with his head hanging out the window.
Mandalore!, Mandolorian: His player has cursed dice, and ended up with an INT score of -2. Not modifier, SCORE. He also regularly failed equipment checks so he regularly went about with his underoos on the outside. He also failed a will save against a bedazzler. Most Glorious Moment: Breaking into an imperial star destroyer by going through the Hull.
Mari-Su, Kaminoan: Our Queen of Bad Ideas. Most Glorious Moments: Suggesting we boil the NPC smuggler and sell him as bacta and opening a library card in Darth Vader's name to break into the imperial library, then checking out "Is Your Mamma a Llama?" to get an imperial officer in trouble with him.
Elliot, Human force-user: Fuck light-sabers, I put all my points into danger alerts and throwing shit around. Most Glorious moments: Hiding From Darth Vader by pretending to be a shrubbery, pulling an Imperial Star destroyer out of the sky and sinking it below Mon Cal.
Vincent, Trandoshan: BFF's with wookiee, continually abused limb-regeneration feat. Greatest moments: Streaking the crowd at Imperial Races to distract the stormtroopers; getting his arm sliced of by one of the Red Guards, then beating the guard to death with it.
Tabletop RPGs are the best.
All things Star Wars Belong to George Lucas/Lucasfilm.

My sister's boyfriend has a group he plays with, but I haven't quite had the courage to ask to join... and I think I'd rather watch at least one session first, to get a feel for it.

The best time to join a group is when they're starting a new game, so roll up a simple character and run with it.
It's easy. panic, say dumb things and slaughter anything that stands in your way.

I have, both. The game store is only interested in board games and Magic the Gathering, and the local gaming club here is only interested in including me if I can get more members and form my own group.

Yeah, I do love CoC, and Tales of the Arabian Nights (just played a good game of that with my parents while I was visiting them over the holiday). Still, it's been ages since I played a good Star Wars RPG session. I really miss that game.
You're right, I don't. The players are okay, but after that phone call with the DM I gave up. No sense in trying to play with a DM like that.

Ahh, I just started a new tabletop Star Wars game last night. First session: We break out of an imperial brig, and a rebel leader hands us a disk to deliver when we escape. It went downhill from there, as our mandalorian went down first, after being shot in the butt by one of our smugglers. From there, the /other/ smuggler shot our mando in the face. The jedi nearly lost his saber, and everyone dropped at least once except for the medic. This poor ubese medic kept running back and forth yelling,"Stop dying!" So then we escape and promptly crash-land the ship in a lake.

They're kind of germ-airports, pick up all the crud from your backpack, and one grumpy die can agitate an entire bag.
Just throw them all in a sink with hot water and some dish soap, then scrubby with a dishrag.

I was actually talking about an online Naruto RP forum. But since you mention it, yes there is a Naruto Tabletop RPG. I've been wanting to play this with some of my friends but something always gets in the way.
