Hawke is medic is a nice touch considering he's one of only 2 COs who can actually heal their own soldiers with his CO Power.

Actually that was one of the reasons why Hawke was the medic!
Thanks for your comments and lets hope we have advance wars revival for the switch

I'm still mad that Advance Wars still doesn't have any playable representation in Smash, but they have room for another ding durn Fire Emblem Character. XD

I mean, I don't like FE because I feel like it's part of why we don't have AW anymore. And I could even ignore the whole "anime sword guy" problem.
No my problem with the extra fire emblem on the roster is that FE is tied for second with Pokemon in terms of playable representation. (First is Mario) FE would be third if Yoshi, Warioware and DK were rolled back into Mario and the Pokemon Trainer counted for three fighters.
So yeah, what with support from Sega, Konami, Capcom, Square Enix, and more they could've easily secured the rights to a more obscure franchise and not add another guy to an already well-represented franchise. Hell, they still haven't given Advance Wars playable representation despite it being the main reason that Nintendo decided to give The States Fire Emblem at all.

Well, I mean we had in America a little bit too much FE, I mean there were 3 new ones for 3ds(not mentioning a lot of remakes), and one for 1 for switch.
And I'm sure why there could be more mario and more zelda and more pokemon, it is so much more fun when you have this weird new character from a complete unexpected franchise.
And your quite right, without AW there would be no FE at all.

I think FE Games have become not unlike the pokemon games; where we need several different versions of the same game to get the full experience.
Yeah, as much as say, I don't care for Sans from Undertale even I got to admit that he would be fun to see as a fighter. But at least he didn't come with yet another FE Character, lol.
Somebody tried to tell me that FE came before AW; And I fired back by reminding them that Advance Wars was what The West called Nintendo Wars which went all the way back to The Famicom and the first NW game came 2 years before the first FE.

Ohh you know your advance war better than most people. While I would say than just being old is not important if you dont have any relevance in the present, may that be a cult following or a historical impact. But i believe both games are close in their relevance and loyal followers. But I would prefer an AW game than smash bros representation though.

I'd say I know a lot about the series despite only playing 3 games, only finishing Black Hole Rising and Dual Strike, and never being smart (or patient) enough for the Hard Campaigns. (Like, Hardmode Liberation is harder than Normal Final Front.)
Yeah, Advance Wars and F-Zero have become my favorite Nintendo Franchises if for no other reason than how they managed to be the foundation for franchises that would ultimately wind overshadowing them in terms of popularity. Like, we wouldn't have Super Mario Kart if not for F-Zero being among the first games to experiment with Mode Seven.
Oh yeah! Gimme a sequel to Dual Strike with our boys Andy and Jake fighting off New Black Hole led by the species of aliens that Sturm was apparently a member of. I'd buy a switch for that. XD

I remember I bought War groove, just for the possibility if someone would revive the Advance War series. I haven't played any of the Famicom Wars.

Wargroove was kind of disappointing to me; I felt like it had borrowed too much from Days Of Ruin (I.E: Commander Units, for example) and took away some of the things I enjoyed even then. Like, my favorite things about Dual Strike or Black Hole Rising were both...
A: Every Commander having different strengths and weaknesses that shined through their soldiers. Like Max had powerful tanks but weak artillery, Colin was weaker overall, but got his units for cheaper; etc. As far as I've been able to tell, every commander in Wargroove is exactly the same with the exception of their powers.
B: Powerful CO Powers that could turn tides if used at the right time. Eagle had the ability to make his non-infantry move twice with Lightning Strike. Hawke would take away 2HP from all enemy units and give 2HP to his own. There aren't any abilities in Wargroove that will affect more than a couple tile radius let alone all enemies or allies, they all felt underwhelming.
