I honestly feel so bad for this Kaiju. Desperate to appear in numerous planned films in the Heisei era but always ending up getting cut and replaced by a different monster. Bagan had a variety of origins in each of the scripts and concepts he was envisioned for. The original Bagan concept featured in an early draft for The Return of Godzilla portrayed him as a sort of deity with the ability to shape shift between various forms while in the scrapped film Mothra vs Bagan, he was a dragon like god of destruction that presided over China in the distant past. He would sadly only make 2 video game appearances in the whole franchise: Super Godzilla And Godzilla Movie Studio Tour.

His designs may seem bizarre but would look wicked to see as suits or props if Toho planned on introducing him in a movie.

Hopefully one day, Fan demand will allow either Toho or Legendary to finally put Bagan in a film to face off against the Big G because I am always down to see them brawl in the ultimate Kaiju showdown of the century.
