Summer 2011. I got this idea about two years ago. But I had a hard time finding the right place for it to shoot until this summer. I've been staring myself blind on it and would appreciate criticism on it from someone else! Idea, execution, composition, details, etc..Let me know what you think!

All I can say is the shadow from the ladder and the pole are the ones you would get in the morning from a low sun, but you can rell from the shadow of the bush that it's more around midday, but that's after being extremely pedantic.

Nice work, love it. However, the ladder's perspective changes from top to bottom. Also the wires/clothing, particularly around where she is, look a bit 2D. really nice color choice and contrast/atmosphere in this piece though

i think the only thing i can see is what kaitism said... the clothes and woman are a bit big for the relative size of power lines. but wonderful execution and creativity as usual!

Dear Erik,
This is another stunning piece of work. I really loved the composition and color work that you've done. You always have a wonderful knack for creating natural looking unbelievable images.
Suggestion: To be honest, the only suggestion I can make for you is (, if it bothers you like it bothers me,) to erase the top of the center cloud behind the electric wire tower. If you just made it more blue sky, it would keep the images attention on the girl where it should be, but something about the clouds shape in the background is distracting and I feel like my attention draws to it like I'm expecting to see something out of the bizarre cloud shapes in the background.
Also, if you're seeking to extended the image at all, I honestly would really like to see yourself incorporated in it somehow, even if it's light humor like you standing in boxers like you're waiting for her to finish getting clothes. The work where you incorporate yourself has a great self portrait/humor feel to them that I wish I could see more of in your newer work.
I'm really glad you're still doing what you love. You never fail to astound me. If it's not weird I'd love to chat with you sometime about tips if you'd be so kind.

Thanks for the comment! Good points, I tend to agree with the cloud part. But also, sometimes perfection makes it look less realistic if you see what I mean. The biggest problem with having myself in the photos is that it's hard to shoot yourself, but I might soon create a new portrait piece.
