I really love this!
I've been really interested in making current images look vintage (no dirty or torn up, vintage)
You did a great job with this image and really gave it much more depth than it even originally had!
I put up a couple of my attempts at making my photos look like vintage postcards [link]
but...alas, I only started learning photoshop about three weeks ago and I'm still very much so in the learning stage.

[That's funny I was actually going to make a tutorial eventually xD]
But basically, you have a picture, you put another layer of some texture on top, wich is usually something scratchy or has vintage potential, and then you fool around with layer style and transparency to see what looks best :] I recomend looking at the second tutorial of photo-editing I did here you can use gradients to make it look vintage-y too

With out forcing you to write an entire tutorial, what is the basic premise of you vintage edit?
(gradient map/color filter with textures?)
