...they just get busy? Or tired? Or sucked into Warcraft? Have babies? All of the above? I also have a broken tablet and since I use a trackball mouse...I'm SOL.I was reading one of bunnystick 's journal entries where old dollers were being talked about. So I thought I should post this.
There are 11,549 files in 826 folders, and it's 65 MB in size. And there are probably more bases than files, because many base makers put up one image containing several posts.
So. I have uploaded this to my Google drive and set it so that anyone with the link can download it; please let me know if it doesn't work! Link here: drive.google.com/open?id=0B0r0…

Ahhh no problem. I know giving credit might be a small issue, but if it was a big issue then I'm sure some of these creators would ask me to remove their stuff.

Holy crap this is a godsend. My external, with allll of my bases, died. I thought I was doomed! You rock Allucia!

Ha, I was one of those "old Dollers" just not a very good one - but I had lots of fun creating them. I fall into the "sucked into WoW" category, started playing in "07" and didn't have much "computer time" for anything else.

Oh man, I've been lurking in the dolling world for too long. I know almost all these sites and miss them so much! There were so many talented artists that disappeared by the wayside or went to revamp their websites only to never return...and old is from around 2000 I would say..

I understand. I started dolling around 2001. I even took down my doll website while I was still dolling because no one visited it anyway, and just put them up on my dA. I think I need to start dolling again, if only to distract me from Warcraft.

I didn't start dolling until about 2006 or so but I would haunt doll sites looking for new updates. I understand why maintaining a personal site is hard but it would be nice if you took that down to pop up on DA or something so we don't lose all the dolls to history ya know?

I will when I have a working tablet again. I can never go back to using a mouse. I kind of lost interest when I had a laptop stolen with a new in-progress work I hadn't back up to my hard drive yet. Then I moved and my tablet broke, and in between it all I got pregnant and had my son, so I've been a little busy. I think I'll go look in my personal doll folder...

Well I'm not sure what you mean by proving to be an old doller... but I have been dolling for a while and about a month or two ago my computer went kaboom and I lost all the bases I had collected over the years (the vast majority of which are now unavailable). I'd love to get some back, and it looks like you may have more from before I started dolling, which I would love to use. : D

As long as you give proper credit (or as much as you can with dead sites), I will share. I'm editing the description a bit...there is a LOT of stuff in that folder. I started dolling around 2001, and I lived at Realm of the Forbidden pretty much.
Do you have a gmail address? I can zip the whole folder than way (it's only like 100 MB).
