uhmm, that's a tough question lol.
it's mostly enhancing what's already there honestly.
I work a lot with curves, layer masks, color balance / channels, etc though if that helps. I also retouch things by hand with my tablet with various layers and brush tools to help enhance and bring forth colors that are already there with different layer settings. euh...did that answer your question at all? xD;;

xD; see I feel bad for not visiting the ocean since that's been such a predominant part of my life growing up - I lived in seattle when I was younger and we ALWAYS went to the beach be it for swimming or for a field trip or something to visit the puget sound and look at little creatures in tide pools. I don't know, I really wanted to go both years but it just hasn't happened so I think that's why I feel bad about it? :{ it's just so cold now so I have to wait for months again!
