NOT ME COMING UP WITH NEW SHIP AU--

Anyway, this specific AU has been going around my head for a couple of days and I'm getting obsessed with it.
It's basically Mythology AU. Just like Selex one. The difference is that for Selex ship it was Greek Mythology AU and this one is just two different mythologies combined which are prechristian Slavic mythology and ancient Roman mythology.

Othello (in this AU he might be named Otho which is more historically accurate but 'Othello' could be his new name he came up with to hide his original identity) is a Roman aristocrat who probably belonged to some secret illegal group but later on got betrayed by his own people. He got wounded in the process but managed to escape. He's been on the run for so long that he eventually passed out from blood loss in some woods opening getting exposed to foreign creatures that would easily claim him or devour him. He eventually gets found by Stalker.
Also, he's still a reptilian here and I figured one of his ancestors knocked up a lamia and that's where the lineage of lizard family begun--
He's a sad and extremely bitter individual with superiority issues who later on is able to show his soft side...but only towards Stalker whom he can trust.

Stalker (her name would be Samboja in this AU which means "The one who fights alone" which is pretty accurate to her character in general) plays a role of Baba Yaga (now commonly known in Russia) who in prechristian Slavic mythology was a literal embodiment of goddess of nature and motherhood. Her role still remains ambiguous, which means that if people respect her and natural environment, she respects and even helps them. If they don't, she might become a bitter villain in their eyes. But the local community actually loves her, so they invite her for holidays and special events asking her to lead ceremonies or they ask her for help in case of emergency. She even teaches them how to prepare herbs, cure sickness and she helps with childbirth. Of course, she lives in a hut with her children in the middle of the woods, away from the nearest village. What actually local people find scary about her is that she survived so many childbirths and they found it unbelievable that she gave birth to her children alone by herself. This fact would prove her wisdom, experience and great power probably gifted by gods.

Stalker and Othello's meeting is almost the same as the original story.
She finds the unconscious foreigner when she was picking herbs and takes care of him. And this is where the adventure begins. Their story in this AU is mostly about culture shock. Slavic gods, creatures, demons and heroes are much different than Roman ones. In addition, Othello was born and lived in patriarchal social system while Stalker lives in matriarchal social system. They both always get baffled by each other's cultural norms and traditions which leads to funny situations/conversations between them and the locals.
She also knows that there's deep sadness and insanity inside him as well as the blood on his hands, so she gives him a chance to atone his actions by helping her and the local community. Thanks to that he might start to thrive and open up to people. Well, maybe just a little bit since he's still a sad, arrogant asshole. At least he started to understand the hard work of peaceful farmers X'D

And yeah, he also eventually knocks up Stalker to have a smol lizard demigod with her--

I have so many fun ideas with this one but let's see how long I can maintain my attention span. :'D
