Initially up in Jan. This is just a repost for those who will recognize this I'm sure. refaving appreciated but no hard feelings if you don't.He's not depressed. There's plenty of depressed inuyasha shots I could compare for you. He's a serious guy. Not much in the smiley department. What I was going for here is he's looking deep into her in a serious way. The de-robing is symbolic for opening up to her. Removing his armor so to speak.
The purple 'clouds' are actually the miasma dissipating. Gotta have a sign of Naraku's end right? yeah. I love this piece. Except for the overkill orange background.
There is a 2nd frame to this that I'm working on. It's the embrace, but I'm having issues so the release has been delayed for that reason I'm afraid.

I admit, after watching the series and reading most of the manga, Kagome wasn't my fave character. But...this pic is amazing, I love the coloring, and I just comforted myself in the fact that she was Kikyu's reincarnation so...in a small way, Inuyasha was back with his first love.

I agree with you. He's not a smiley kinda guy. Rumiko Takahashi has drawn for us time and time again that his happiness and love won't come from a smile, it will be shown in his eyes!!! That's where to look. And if you do you can see he looks at Kagome with them tons of times, especially in moments like these.

Absolutely beautiful. I like that you describe the elements in the picture, too, that's a nice touch. I always appreciate when an artists talks about their work and hate seeing "..." as the description. I think the sunset is a beautiful touch, especially with the words "Now that it's over..." (I assume sunset, due to the colors). It's like even the sun is saying a chapter of their lives is done.

Yay! Another of my favorite "deep" pics! He's definately not depressed, his face is too soft looking and his eyes are too open for that (I've seen him do a sqinty eye thing when he's depressed). *runs off to refave*

Thank you so much for reposting this. I'm definately faving it. I agree with you on the "depressed" thing, and the disrobing is awesome symbolism. I love the vibrant colors.
I can't wait until the followup of this. I understand to a certain extent wanting to release the followup of something, but problems getting in the way. That's the way it is with my music. Good luck!
