It's my fault. I was jealous of her and no matter how many times I replay it over in my head, I think that jealousy is what guided my actions that day.

He loved us both, hell he asked us both to marry him and I wonder what would he be like if one of us had. Some people don't understand what we had and how I could be jealous of her, but they don't know what I know.

Dick love for me was something that was born out of a deep friendship and understanding. It was true but something about it never seemed quite right. At first we were something of rivals, and then we were inseperable. As time marched on, feelings starting emerging and I think that it's not the love a man should have for a woman. I love Dick, never stopped, but he couldn't love me the way he loved her.

His love for Starfire, was passionate, raw, unbridled and I remember seeing them together...the look on his face was so full of life. It was more than her body for him. Dick came from the circus and Kory had that same free spirit about her.

She reminded him of his real parents and I reminded him of his adoptive father, two contrast, but it was still love and it was his love for both of us that made him snap.

It began with what we call the fall of the Titans. Trigonis, son of Trigon, had mentally ensnared Kory and Raven and was going to use them to sire a new demon race.

In order to rescue them Batman had to go to Trigonis realm and for that he needed a high powered magic user and to get one with that kind of power he need Checkmate Red. That's how I became involved in this, I asked for a few favors and Dr. Fate, provided us with a way to Trigonis' realm, I insisted that I come and as soon as we got there...seeing Starfire and Trigonis together, I knew that even if we won, it would be a shallow victory at best...
