He came in the little whole in the hole in the wall pub dressed like an everyday slob and she recognized him the moment he walked in. She motioned to a few of her friends to come over to her and then made a beeline for him.

"Listen here sicko" she said, a tone of authority in her voice as her friends gathered around "I know you've been following me around the last few days, just what the hectate do you want?"

He started to dig in his pockets, making the other nervous, some were high and other just really, really stupid because for some reason they all had the same thought : 'he's got a gun' even though there was no bulge in which he could conceal a pistol despite his girth. He pulled out a wallet and took out his driver's liscence. "Notice something?"

"Yeah, we got the same name" she looked at him, now angry "so what?"

"We took you there because it was the only place you'd be safe from the others" he could see he had her full attention "And I knew that you were human enough to go in....but we...we couldn't because..."

"Oh my gods.." the light went off in her head.

"Yes, I can feel your thoughts" he said ( although he couldn't ) "I'm your father, Xien....I'm your father."

Xien waved the others off and went downstairs to speak with this Michael Chen. For the next thiry minutes he told her of his vampire heritage and how other vampires, true vampires, wanted to rid the Earth of these human hybrids that could walk in the day as easily as the night. Xien sat there listening nodding her head in agreement from time to time until finally she spoke.

"So if they can't find me...then why" she stopped trying to clear her head "Then why try to find me after all this time won't that lead them to me?"

"It's your mother" he said looking a sad as he could "She's dying and she...she wanted to see you before..."

"What are we waiting for?" Xien interupted "Let's go now!"

On the way to the modest house, surrounded by woods, Dr. Chen told her of a way that she could become a full vampire and how her mother risked her life to get this wonderful elixer so that they could be a family again without fear of persecution from the Vampyre tribes. Yet she was given a mortal wound before she herself could partake of it. When they arrived in the house, Dr. Chen gave some of this elixer to her before they went upstairs to see the dying woman.

Xien opened the bedroom door to find no one there but the powerful sedative Dr. Chen was working already and she could barely keep her eyes open.

"Yeah" he laughed "Just because we have the same last name doesn't mean we're related" Xien fell towards the bed. "I'm just surprised that you brought the whole thing...I mean, you didn't..." he couldn't contain his laughter now "Vampire tribes? Oh you are a stupid one aren't you?"

My father found a way he could fuse all of these powers and have them for himself. A task of such magnitude would take a lot of funding and at first he worked with the US goverment telling them he was working on a better process for making superheroes since out of the One hundred subject only nineteen survived and out of those only four weren't sterile. Then after years of nothing the goverment cut his funding and he was forced into adopting a masked identity himself to fund his project.
