Thinking about comics that used to be great but seem to have slacked in the last few years, my attention goes to the Xmen.

What happened? The Xmen have always been defined more by the villains...Magneto comes to mind first and foremost.

Yet in recent years they've taken the good ones out, Magneto is getting ready for a comeback, but I'm not sure the powers that be will get it right.....look at Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister's returns...horrid.

Speaking of the latter, I came up with Triple Strike. A three man team of Sinister's design who don't even know what they truly are until Sinister fails to input a code one year. These are the guys that are supposed to avenge him in case of his death. When code isn't inputted a signal awakens the sleeper agents:

Thunderbolt : spliced from Storm and Quicksilver's genes. His superspeed generates a powerful electric charge. When he runs it appears an electric charge is left in his wake, when he stops the bolt keeps going in the direction he was running. He can do the same with his arms by making them move at superspeed, but his bolt is at it's strongest when running.

Talon: Spliced from Kitty Pryde and ArcAngel....she can transforms her wings to living metal like Archangel and phase like Kitty, her wing blades remain phased until they reach their target....

Lycan: Wolverine and the Beast's DNA....need I really say more?

There mission kill the founding X Men by joining the team, their programing makes them believe that they want to be part of the team until the anniversary of Sinister's death, that's when all hell breaks loose. A 12 issue build up....a surprise fourth and fifth member....ok, enough day dreaming.
