Wow, that's a very imaginative picture. The angle is fantastic. It almost looks like a glass orb of clouds hang above the sky. Nice job.

stupid question but i understand the 15mm being a fisheye means nothing to correct the lines of distortion.
but do you get a wider focal length from a 15mm fisheye or from a 12mm wide angle?

The Canon 15mm fisheye is not 100% fisheye, so you don't get that complete circular frame. It also depends on what angle you point the lens. if you go either side of the vertical and horizontal lines, the distortion is vicious. You would get a much wider angle from a fisheye that a 12mm wide angle, but with the 14mm wide angle, you would get lens distortions. I shoot with a full frame sensor so I can a lot more in compared to a 1.6x sensor. Cheers
