You should save these as GIFs...only 256 colors (doesn't look to be a prolbem here) but they're lossless. Or .pngs...they're 24bit and lossless.

Hehe.. yes I agree: looks like some kinda game.. around early 90s! But just the choice of colors and the shading of that guy... the part on top doesnt fit that nostalgy.. too detailed!
