Description I'm reading a very good Startrek novel by Sonni Cooper, Black Fire. This is very well written, the plot is really insteresting and I'm totally captivated. But I'm an emotional wreck because events are quite hard on Spock I know it's a fiction but still I couldn't help feeling everything very acutely along with Spock and I really burst into tears several times already while reading...
I needed to make some art to try to digest my feelings...

//BEGIN SPOILER So here is one of these hard scenes, when Spock is accused of treason and has to endure the humiliation of wearing an escape-proof fluorescent jump suit and cuffed like a criminal. And Jim is unable to defend his friend.

I know that feeling so well... I don't know how many fanfics I've already read that made me cry oceans. Of course we know it's just fiction, but knowing that doesn't help at all
*hugs you tight* poor you!Β

I really had no idea how it would end for Spock. The writter surprised me a lot. She's really gifted <3

hehehe
//BEGIN SPOILER
In fact Spock secretly acted in the name of the federation (even Kirk did not know). He was branded traitor and put to jail to secretly investigate about some pirates that plagued the galaxy among other things.
So that in the end, his escape from the jail (which was somehow facilitated by the staff), and the following events did not count and all charges against him were cleared~

That's really an interesting plot! *__*
It's so great that so many people have written (and are still writing, I guess) all those Trek novels. I've read quite a lot of them two, but most of them long ago. The only two I've just read recently are 'Sarek' and 'A stich in time' (which is the most amazing DS9 related novel ever!)Β

That is awesome indeed~ That was such a surprise in the end, I could not believe my eyes, I had cried so much on his sad fate
I'm really glad of that too. Are there're so many good writters doing that...
I loved reading Sarek ^^

Oh yes, all the tears I've cried over the years. Official novels are one thing, but fanfiction is often even worse. Those writers put you through hell and leave you in pieces... Β

'Sarek' was amazing, and I agree I cried a lot when Amanda died... :/Β

In case you'll ever really get into DS9, I can recommend 'A Stich in Time'. It's about Garak mostly and about the Cardassian society. It's been written by the actor who played Garak. I always love it when an actor is so totally into the character he portrays.Β

Haha that's quite true. Maybe fanfiction writers are more daring when it come to put our beloved characters into dramatically dangerous situations ^^

I'll keep that in mind (or rather, I add this to my "must-read" list XD )

Are you talking about me? XDD I'm definitely pretty ruthless when it comes putting my characters through hardships. Β

I'm looking forward to your opinion about the book, whenever I may hear it. Β

Oh I wasn't thinking of you in particular XD

Well I have so many books to read first (including the volumes two and three of LOTR), that you'll have to wait quite some time ^^
What about Mission: Impossible? Are you still watching it?
