five years ago when i moved to this place here at the edge of the village and the edge of the field (=feldrand), i not only loved the view from my kitchen widow directly over the fields but also the endless crossing of large flocks of wild geese and cranes in autumn and spring... love to see their V-formations and their fabulous cries...
but sadly since about two or three years they don't come along here anymore - the ymust have found another passage - i miss them...
thank you for sharing your beautiful work - it really shows the majestic side of these birds...

maybe it was a good omen to see your beautiful work and to comment on it the way i did - can you believe? just some two hours ago i saw them again! i was mowing the lawn because we have warm sunshine like springweather today, and then i heard their trumpeting cries in the distance... a big flock was approaching from the horizon, looking like three in one... they came nearer and nearer until they were almost over our garden, then they started to fly in a big circle - it was like a private show for us... this spectacle was so impressive that even my neighbour farmer interrupted his work, demounted from his tractor and stood there, gazing at the sky... after a while a second flock came up, it took a while until it was near enough to join the first one - and even a third one followed...
when they had melted into one huge flock, they turned around one last time and then continued their way - it was tremendous and all the time the air was filled with their lovely voices...
what a happy day!!!
