Yeah I tried a smoother style with a Romita piece once and I got chastised for it, lol...

Yeah. Sometimes people will think it's too rough, but then if it's softened, it's just wrong. lol. Great inking btw, was checking out your stuff!

   Of course, I love JR Jr's work.  He impressed me back when he was first doing Amazing Spider-Man in the early 1980s, before moving over to stints on Uncanny X-Men, Daredevil, and other titles.  The man can draw!

   I always wondered how he would depict Mignola's character.  I think he missed a chance when the rest of the old Marvel crew skipped town to work at Dark Horse Comics, but at least he got to do one Batman comic (the Punisher crossover one-shot).  Looks like you really did a good job on this, if a little rough.

Thanks! I wanted to just 'swing from the hip' on this one, and see where it took me. If there's anyone you don't want to be overly tight inking it's JRJR (I think it's why Williamson and Janson were such perfect fits).

I totally agree btw, I'd love to see JRJR do some other characters, play in some other sandboxes before his career is finished.
