I'm already a fan of foxes in general, but I really like your take on fox folk already. ^_^

Same. Thank you so much! I'm not much of a fan of the sexy super model fox girls. I like my fox girls more werewolf-like.

Thank you so much.

Well foxes have much longer muzzles and larger years. They're more triangles where are cats would be more circles.

I never noticed larger ears!

The muzzle is hardest from a front view.

That's kind of my issue for awhile cause from the front you can't show the triangle shape they would look just round.

Currently I just draw the snout connecting to the eyes in like a bit of a "v" shape, as long as its long enough I think it works out.

Its even worse when I try to draw them talking cause Im never sure how far the moth should open, this kind of thing needs practice XD

Oh and I might need to clarify my creature is based on a maned wolf, that's probably a little different from foxes.

You think tall as they are they would benefit more from more human or bearlike feet to distribute weight?

You have any extra insight on stuff like that?

yea most faces are super hard from a front view.

It takes a lot of practice definitely.

I think mouth size depends on the action/emotion. If they're talking. medium. if they're whispering, small. IF they're yelling fully open. That kinda thing.

Foxes? I'm not sure, depends on the rest of their body structure I think.

Not really, I'm still a pretty big noob in regards to appropriate anatomy functionality and all that jazz.

Oh yeah canines can really flex their jowls and as an anthro face that long face is like a larger canvas.

Quite different from foxes,

Maned wolves are like if a deer/horse and a wolf crossbred and then its colors were taken from a fox.

I think you'd like them.

Ah okay then, thanks.

Sorry that part's wasnt really related I sometimes stray into speculative evolution.

I didn't know they could. I thought it was just hanging flesh. What are jowls even FOR?

I love Maned wolves. I've drawn one before but...it has to be on my Furaffinity gallery.

Its all good. I do too. My fantasy world Hero Slayers is actually Speculative Evolution.

Well they probably serve the same function as lips on humans, it protects the teeth and as canine and big cat teeth are quite huge and crucial to survival they need covering from the elements, but you notice only domesticated dogs have floppy jowls and that's cause they were bred as hunting dogs to have soft mouths to carry back hunted animals like ducks without damaging the kill (maybe also use their jaws on things like boar). That's most apparent for breeds like the Labrador and golden retreiver.

Lizards like the komodo also have lips that cover their teeth, paired with their gums this is why you barely see teeth when they open their mouths, their row of sharp serrated teeth are basically sheathed, and when they bite down is when the teeth stick out into prey and this also triggers the venom glands.

Hero Slayers you say?

the perspective of Monsters as they fight off heroes I reckon?

Oh that's true.

Yea T Rexes and other theropods did too.

Yes, exactly.

I wonder how Rex would look though its teeth were near tusk-like in size and thickness.

They probably stick past the upper jaw like an overbite, so if there were lips they probably would have looked kinda jowlish too.

Sounds real good.
