Ahhhhhh Tali!! I am very sad I didn't wear Tali as long as I had hoped for, but Dragon*Con just wasn't the right con for her. This cosplay was such a huge labor of love though. Many nights were spent almost in tears over this thing and how to make it work, but when I first saw a picture that Alan took of me I was almost speechless because I couldn't believe I actually did it and was wearing it and it looked decent! That being said, there is still a lot I want to fix and add to her.BUT. wow. I still can't believe it happened haha! I can't wait to wear her some more, I really can't.
Now what Mass Effect cosplay do I want to do next? ;D (haha just kidding. Maybe.)

That visor! How you got that reflection (in that color)!?

Its plastic that was hand dyed to get the desired color, and then the back was treated to get the reflective quality

Why didn't you like the costume for D-Con? There was lots of Mass Effect
It looks like you wore it on Saturday, which is the worst day for full costumes, imo. I recommend Sunday night (all the AMAZING stuff comes out) and Friday. They are quieter days and less burning hot inside the buildings. I wish I'd seen you Saturday, I was mostly in the Westin/Americasmart.

It wasn't a matter of not having mass effect, it just wasn't the best costume to navigate crowded Saturday afternoon/night crowds in. I'm pretty protective over this costume especially because of how much time, effort, and love went into it...and crowds were not very kind lol.
I have been to dragoncon quite a few times so Im very well aware of how bad Saturday is in general, but sadly Saturday was my only option to wear this. Trust me if I could of worn her Sunday or even Friday, I would of. I was never over that way though since I was staying in the mariott

Next year I plan on only comfy/easy to move in costumes haha! And hopefully I will be able to go to all the different locations and such !

I think honestly my greatest tip is to just take your time! The thing I have noticed working on my Mass Effect cosplays (Tali, Aria, ME3 FemShep dress, and now eying up Liara lol) is that they tend to sneak up on you with details and weird pieces that just dont seem to work in the real world lol! Wow the mask and the fabrics look stunning! Did you make the mask yourself? It looks top notch with that reflective gleam. Actually, semi suggestion for your next photo shoot with Tali - a shot where the reflective image could display a Shepard or another ME character there at the Con you are at
