hello! i've made another planet in my alpha-element universe. this time, its an old one that i haven't touch for quite a while. it is ragnarok, formerly geon, the planet of earth. this should have been done very long ago, but better late than never i quess.

________________________________________________________________________________________

ragnarok is a super earth with a radius and mass of 1.6 and 5.2 times that of earths respectively. it is a dry rocky dessert world with an average surface temperature of 53 celsius. on rare occassions, the temp. can drop to as low as 37 celsius in the planet's winter. the planet's surface is covered with huge desserts and has large canyons and plateau's scattered about. there are also large dry mountains and valleys. the planet is still tectonically active and has a large metallic core that produces a strong magnetic field that protects the surface from radiation. it has an atmosphere that is 3 times denser than earths with a composition that is nearly the same. there is also a large portion of water vapour in the planet's atmosphere and so, high alltitude clouds can be seen occasionally.

-the planet has a thin and sparse ring system that formed early in its history when one of it's moon's got too close and was torn apart by tidal forces.
the planet currently has three moons.
-the closest and smallest moon is granix (first moon to the right of ragnarok), and it is a faulted world roughly 1/4 the size of our moon that is strune with jagged rock and rock formations that formed early in its history from extreme volcanism. however, it's orbit is also too close to the planet and eventually, it too would be torn apart by tidal forces and added to the ring system in about 100 million years. the moon is tidally locked and orbits ragnarok in 17 days.
-the second moon from ragnarok and the largest is terrus (second moon to the right of ragnarok and largest in the image). it is a dry world roughly the size of our moon covered in a rocky and dusty lanscape of large mountain ranges and plains. it has a thin atmosphere of nitrogen and oxygen with some water vapour. the moon is tidally locked and orbits the planet in roughly 46 days.
-the furthest and second largest moon of ragnarok is gerak (moon to the left of ragnarok). it is a dry and dusty world half the size of our moon and is covered with an eternal field of dirt and stone. the moon is completely dry and barren and has nearly no atmosphere at all. the moon is tidally locked and orbits ragnarok in roughly 74

ragnarok orbits the sun like star errak in an orbit that takes roughly 297 earth days. one day on the planet lasts about 29 hours. there is a small earth sized planet in a tight 3 day orbit around the star. but because the planet is so close, tidal interactions are tearing it apart and eventually the planet would be pulled into the star in about 2.5 million years. there is a large asteroid belt outside ragnarok's orbit.

this system is forbidden as there is a strange energy within the rocks of the planet of unknown origin.
