Description

Some dudes doodling around the doodle graveyard. To tell you the truth I don't think I really nailed this one. Critiques are certainly welcome.

Hope you dig…or not….

...it's good -- ominous, yet has a feel that draws you in for a closer look.

Salutations,

C'est terriblement bien dessiné! Presque photoréaliste avec un sujet pourtant hors de toute réalité.

Makes me wonder what those giant spikes are on the background.. Whatever the case, greatly well done.

This is great work.

The atmospheric perspective in the background is wonderfully executed. This piece displays great knowledge of environmental lighting. You did great with the composition placing your main figure off to the side, and framing him using the dark canyon wall on the right, with the large bone like structure in the distance. The bright flecks of sand which overlaps the dark areas was a great touch and really amplifies the sense of movement, along with the moving flags and rolling clouds.

My only concern is the mounted creature in the foreground seems to be a bit out of place texture wise. Did you use ZBrush for it? He seems almost a little "over textured" for an environment that is more loose and painterly. His front foot almost seems to not be making contact with the ground beneath him but actually pasted on top of it, like he's not making contact.

Thank you for allowing me to critique your work!

Nope no zbrush. To tell you the truth I didn´t really like the dragon, but I was to lazy to change it.
