Ignore the crappy colouring please and let me explain.In the book "Interview with the Vampire" by Anne Rice, there is a scene in which Louis, the main character, has just been turned into a vampire and the guy who did that, Lestat, just happened to 'forget' to get Louis a coffin of his own so he has to spend that first day sleeping in Lestat's coffin on top of him. And Louis' body is basically dying and he in pain and confused and it's supposed to be sad, upsetting and scary. And THIS is all I could think of. I'm such a bad person! XD
This is probably the closest I'll get to a Halloween picture but, ah well.

This actually isn't right... Louis had his own coffin right from the start.

I've watched the movie...he already had a coffin in the beginning and he died instantly and became a vamp after he drank Lestat's blood (you gotta love him..the big douche ass-hole) so none of this happened in the movie where he had to sleep on top of him *drooling now* and his pain ended in like less than 10 sec.

I was 13 when I first read that book and it inspired a lot of feelings that I had never felt before.

Same here, my poor pre-teen self just wasn't ready for the fabulous-ness.

Yeah, but as a read the book, I began to realize that Lestat and Louie were basically in a dysfunctional marriage, complete with the idea of, "If we have a kid, then he can't leave me." And that's why Lestat turned Claudia into a vampire.
Still, when I re-read the book as an older teen and then as an adult, I was better able to handle the more fabulous stuff.
