Soft pastels on pastels paper -- does that qualify as a drawing? :SI hate how the manes turned out in this one, but yeah. Poep gebeurt. I do love the facial shades and highlights. And now I'd like to know what you think of it (wailing cry: "This is only my second attempt at pastels!").

Its beautiful, I used to ride a horse the same colour, he always looked lovely against a pure blue sky.
For your second attempt in pastels your quite remarkable, I'd have put bets on this picture being done by somebody who had done a lot more practicing. Very well done.
I think the mane might hang down a bit more, but of course that depends on what the mane quality is, still a very very good job.
