Animal Kingdom : Clouded Leopard(Neofelis nebulosa)
Well it has been ages since i have been uploading and this is the first deviation for 2012
You may have seen a work in progress of this bad boy
but i didn't continue it that way cause i realize it's a waste of time painting every flock of hair
so yesterday i started doing it from scratch again and this is the result
i like how the hole concept turned out
done in Paint tool Sai and some light effects and color corection with Photoshop
Don't use without my permission
and don't forget to fav and comment if you please
for the animal I used a reference photo
the background is all from my imagination

You should give the reference picture of this, as there is a PHOTO very SIMILAR to this piece :/

yes i know there is one, everybody uses references it's not stealing or anything (not that you are implying something like that)
i just think it's not necessary posting it here too

no i don't think so since this was all done by painting from scratch - it is NOT a photo manipulation
using a reference of a photo is very legal
after all i don't own a pet clouded leopard in my home to use it so it's just the pose nothing else
and i have seen this pose in other deviations too

i think thats just a normal leopard tho clouded leopards are normally gray but its a wonderful pic none the less

hehe i know clouded leopards are grey though it looked too dull so i saturated it more to fit the concept, and the patterns are like of a clouded leopard so no confusion there
