If I remember correctly, I think Nicole punched him in the face, and Artie kicked him in the gut. So Basil is understandably a little cautious getting too close, but is also curious what embarrassing stories they might be telling about him

The painting is "View of Heath Street at Night" by Atkinson Grimshaw. I should have painted my own, but this was such a cool-looking scene that I thought would fit well with the Victorian aesthetic.
