For this month's request from i asked KB for Detective Chloe Decker, from the tv show Lucifer, expecting Lucifer's baby. and of course Lucifer is trying to help in his own way, as only Lucifer can. hope yall enjoy!

Ever since detective Chloe Decker had found out that the man she knew as Lucifer Morningstar was in fact the Angel of the same name, her life had taken a turn for the strange. It seemed like every week there was some new cosmic wrinkle in the brunette's life, the latest being pregnant with Lucifer's child.
Being a mother well before meeting Lucifer, Chloe was no stranger to the ups and downs of carrying a child. However as the weeks went by, the detective made a startling realization at the eighth month mark: she was much, much bigger than with her first child.
Laboriously walking past one of the mirrored surfaces within Lucifer's bar Lux, Chloe stopped and looked at her reflection in profile. "Right. Wings. Angels have wings. No wonder I'm a blimp..." She muttered, pulling the bottom of her black shirt down as far as she could over her stomach and watched the garment slide back up to its original position. It only covered about half of her baby bump, leaving the lower portion completely exposed in the comfortably cool air of the quiet club.
Chloe sighed, gently running her hands over the surface of the stomach, the creamy white orb having outgrown her wardrobe months ago. Even so the detective made the best of what she had, currently wearing a set of jeans and leather jacket along with her shirt.
The detective tugged at the waistband of her increasingly tight jeans, another reminder of all the changes that she'd blissfully forgotten that come with pregnancy. It was comforting, in a way. To experience something that was normal, something human. As normal as being pregnant with an Angel could be, at least.
Rather than continue to question what strange twists may lie in wait for her in the future, Chloe stopped inspecting herself and waddled toward the elevator leading her to Lucifer's luxurious abode at the top of the building. The doors opened and she walked in to see her lover digging through two cardboard boxes in the den of his suite.
"Oh Detective! Your timing is perfect, I was just about to call you." Lucifer greeted Chloe with a toothy grin, beckoning her further inside. "Which do you think would be better, the diamond-encrusted grow suit..." He asked, holding up a newborn's onesie that was in fact covered with small diamonds, sparkling vibrantly in the sunlight streaming in from outside. "...or a diamond dummy?" In his other hand he held aloft a pacifier with a large diamond on the front.
Chloe smiled and crossed her arms, suppressing the urge to laugh at the sight. It was a move very much out of the Lucifer playbook, but the detective found herself charmed by his particular style of missing the point. She raised a curious eyebrow, wondering what prompted this latest parental impulse purchase.
"Don't look so surprised, Detective!" Lucifer exclaimed with a laugh, as if sensing her question. "You should know all about my problems with Dad, so of course I want to avoid repeating his mistakes. Now, which do you think is best for our bundle of joy?"
Chloe nodded before pointing a thumb behind her to the elevator. "We'll talk about it in the car. Come on, Ella's waiting for us at a crime scene downtown."
Lucifer chuckled, placing the ludicrously expensive objects back in their boxes and strode over to the mother of his child. "Don't be ridiculous, Detective! You're pregnant! Very pregnant, too..." He said, his eyes wandering down Chloe's body until his gaze came to rest upon her baby bump. There was an awkward silence that broke only when the Angel realized he was staring and resumed eye contact with his lover.
"...Ahem. What I mean is, you shouldn't push yourself too hard! Now if you tell anyone I said this I will deny it, but... Daniel can handle cases adequately in your absence." Lucifer continued, walking around behind the pregnant woman and embracing her,
"Now what do you say? You, me, some non-alcoholic liquor. See where the night takes us..." Lucifer spoke softly into Chloe's ear, running his hands up and down her sides and kissing over the back of her neck. The brunette sighed happily, feeling the Angel's hands all over her and reaching up to wrap her arms behind his head, pulling his face closer to her own over her shoulder.
"I say..." Chloe began, moving in to kiss her lover on the lips. "...Come on, partner. We have a crime scene to visit." She smirked mischievously and abruptly walked towards the elevator she'd entered from. The pregnant woman looked over her shoulder at Lucifer and gave him a playful wink, doing her best to put a teasing sway to her hips as opposed to the waddle her gait had adopted since her pregnancy began.
Lucifer gave a breathless chuckle as he watched her move, coming to his senses and following behind the detective only once she had gotten to the elevator. The angel caught up to the mother of his child as the doors opened, the two stepping inside.
As Chloe pressed the button to return to the lobby, she smiled warmly at Lucifer and said, "What do I have to worry about, anyway?" She placed a hand on her stomach, giving it a gentle pat. "I know you'll keep me and the baby safe no matter what happens."
"Always, Detective." Lucifer replied with a sincere smile, placing his hand on the detective's atop her belly.
"Always."
