Mai somehow learned of their allies, figuring that they cannot decline a rematch knowing that she has defeated their allies. And thus Mai has added people to her list of targets, starting with Ayane.

It is unknown where she learned to do such a move, nonetheless she deems it necessary to do so. Pinning Ayane while she counted from 1 to 10 very slowly, implying that her Ayane was defeated already and that should the count grow into a larger number, Ayane would still be unable to beat the count; And it looks as if she is correct.
