Description
Preliminary sketchwork for a painting I'm working on: one of four connected pieces, each depicting anthropomorphized seasons. This one reminds me rather heavily of the Snow Queen, but I suppose that's apposite. #2 mechanical pencil (0.5) on Strathmore bristol board.The hands are a bit dodgy, and yes, she is disproportionate. Hopefully the next version of this will be less so.

My goodness, this is beautiful!
The flow and folds of the skirt is picturesque. The fur looks realistic, especially at the top, where the focus is more important. The shading is so smooth and soft in texture. The more obviously lined shading was appropriate for your comic-style transformer characters. And the smoothness here is equally appropriate.
Wow. I'm quite impressed. For me, your skill really shines through in this piece. Though I've not looked at all of your work in depth, I'd have to say this is my favorite of yours thus far.

she reminds me of the white queen from the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. amazing, i must say

My first thought was, "Wow!" My second thought was, "Excellent shading!" My third thought was, "Woah! Huge honkers!"
Beyond that, I do love the detail of the armbands and the flow of the fabric.

Well, as she is supposed to be the representation of winter, I think the that big breasts are a bit incongruous. I would associate big breasts with a time of plenty like summer of maybe autumn but not a cold, harsh season like winter. Also, she looks a bit too soft and rounded over-all for the time of jagged ice crystals lysing cells. Winter can be beautful, oh yes, but it's all sharp angles in my mind. The pointy nails are a good idea, and I like her pose. She looks as if she's expecting it to snow any moment, the way that she has her hands out. Overall, she's very pretty and bound to annoy PETA.

I think it's amazing, the hair and waves in the clothing are superb! I can also see the Snow Queen references
