Holy shit, I'm in awe of this one! How'd you match skin tones like this??

I have a few coming up that I am pretty proud of. I use Photoshop CS3. The biggest thing I recently learned is that in "Selective Color" I can take the white channel and darken it. But this usually creates a flat image. So I found that if I brighten the image and play with the contrast a little, I can get pretty close to the overall tone, I am looking for.
Now I do start out trying to match colors. I use the photo filters to change the overall skin cast from warm to cool or vice versa. Then really work with selective color tool. And verify saturations and hues. Typically I only work on the red, yellow, and white channels. Exposure can be used but I have found that gamma correction is more useful.
Finally, I adjust the blur. And most recently been trying to add the correct photo grain to the face to match the rest of the photo.
Let me know if this makes sense or you have any more questions.

@oneeyedollar - I just posted one where I had to severely alter Emma's skin tone to match with the body. I think it turned out pretty well, all things considered.

Yeah Hskfmn you did a good job. Have you tried using a photo filter but not keeping the luminosity?
