Again you blow me away with your amazing attention to detail, the previous work hanging up in the timber, the little flecks of incandescent metal flicking in all directions. I especially love the fact that he's not using a giant ass hammer, or that his hammering shoulder isn't being used, just his arm. (Although I don't know about those short sleeves, I mean, those flecks of metal when they land on your arm burn like hell, I have scars!)
The only thing I could say (but it really isn't all that important and not all lefties and righties are the same, and maybe your commissioner specifically asked for that) is that as he's left-handed, the horn should probably be on his right.

Hey, you're right about flecks, didn't think about that.. It's just that I have never been around a real anvil (thought it would be hot and many sparkles, heh).
I don't remember this character being specifically right- or left-handed, so it was probably my decision to depict him like that.

Also don't sweat it, really, loads of people work differently and there aren't that many blacksmiths around these days to know the difference.
(I mean it's my job, so, of course that's always what I look at first. When I see an actor playing a blacksmith or a farrier I usually go into hysterics, but I have been surprised before only once or twice.)

Так здорово! Мне очень нравится, прямо чувствуется жар от углей и искры летят. Обожаю сочетание цветов, оранжевый и голубой, такая красота! Красиво свет лежит, мне очень нравятся штрихи вблизи, и как обозначена комната сзади. Кажется, что труд тяжёлый и одинокий, кузнец внимательный и осторожный. Очень здорово! Я всё после Скайрима мечтала кузнеца намалевать, очень вдохновила и порадовала твоя картина, очень в настроение попала. Потрясающе

I adore it! I love the little details you added like the band in his hair and the buttons and pockets on his apron and the overall atmosphere of the image, it's just great, and how the glowing coals light up the gloomy forge, and how his eyes are completely focused on the hammer. And EVERYTHING else. It's just how I see him in my mind. I'm so grateful to you

Th way the main light of the darwing comes from the coals and the white hot blade, and especially since it is coming from the lower part of the pic, it is amazingly well done, dear:
