A wild Freesia has just opened three flowers in the evening, waiting for any visitor that recognizes their beauty.
The South African Freesia species from winter rainfall areas are quite easy to grow in a pot and reliably produce their sweet-scented flowers. All you need is a sunny window in a room that is kept frost-free. Those privileged residents of SoCal can grow them in their gardens.
