Have you gotten to read IDW's 'Evolutions: Hearts of Steel' 4 issue mini-series?

You're not the first person to mention a dislike of the shadows. I have to say, though, that I think people may have forgotten how dark and gloomy every comic in that short series was.

Actually way before I got back into Transformers comics I picked up the Trade version of Hearts Of Steel. I figured since it was its own continuity that I'd be able to read it without needing to worry about other stories.

I have to say I loved it, and yes there are a heap of shadows in that. I just think for the box art itself that since there's no background to set the context for the character that it looks a little off - but just a little.

It's still a great piece so don't let me throw you in any way.

I own a lot of bristol board, actually. I drew this on some rough paper intentionally. I wanted it to look as weathered and grimey and possible, and I think the choice of paper really helped.
