Spiffing! Jolly good show there kind sir!
One especially likes the rather kick ass canon!
Not so keen on the shadows though but that's just me and it's a personal thing!
Overall this will make a very, very cool box!!

Actually way before I got back into Transformers comics I picked up the Trade version of Hearts Of Steel. I figured since it was its own continuity that I'd be able to read it without needing to worry about other stories.
I have to say I loved it, and yes there are a heap of shadows in that. I just think for the box art itself that since there's no background to set the context for the character that it looks a little off - but just a little.
It's still a great piece so don't let me throw you in any way.

I like it a lot better with the background, although the far arm and leg seem a tad too dark

Very nice. Dynamic pose and lighting. Although I'm curious what your drawing would look like on smooth bristol board. have you ever tried it?

I own a lot of bristol board, actually. I drew this on some rough paper intentionally. I wanted it to look as weathered and grimey and possible, and I think the choice of paper really helped.
