Today is Stan Lee's Birthday, and I want to tell you the story of the day I met 'Da Man'.

I will take you back over a decade to Baltimore Comic Con. Stan was doing a guest appearance and I was tabling in the Artist Alley along the wall. I had to take a bathroom break, which is always fun when you are driving solo and ran off the nearby toilet. With natures call, well... called. I made my way back to my table and got stuck behind a huge crowd of folk, worse behind an old man dressed in khakis. Seeing someone at my table and a possible sale, I half-pushed, half slide by this grey haired gentleman. Only to have the person walk away from my table by the time I got there. Nuts... lost a sale, thanks old man!

It wasn't until later that I found out the old man was Stan 'Da Man' Lee on a walkabout, and I had pushed him out of the way! I was okay mortified, but then I smiled. Somehow I feel Stan Lee would approve being pushed out the way to sell a comic, it feels in character, for a guy who is a famous hustler of comics.

And that my friends is my Stan 'Da Man' story.
