I can imagine this scene happening after the "A Canterlot Wedding" episode... I really wonder if Crhysalis and her changelings suvived...? I guess we'll just have to wait to know that... 
Anyway, this piece of art is simply fantastic!!! The background looks wonderful, the lights and shadings are awesome and the details are great! Love it!!!

this painting was a struggle (because I didn't knew what to draw)
but after an hour of doodling around I finally got a solid idea and then its just history.

Nah , it would probably give you an headache
the chromatic aberration is just to enrich the colours, it doesnt affect 3D space in any way....
I actually should start trying to make 3D images with that now that I think...

no detail lost for me ^^ even if its not 16:9 format. i photoshop borders to the top and bottom when the width is too huge. and i make a blurred lower layer from the picture when the picture is too high. in that way the original is untouched
