Christian is the first born of Mya and Abrahan Finnard. Just before his first birthday his mother passed away from an illness and his father soon remarried to a woman of a well known noble family in the Pearl Kingdom. Shortly after his sister was born. Despite being treated like he's not part of the family by his father and especially his step-mother he's happy just exploring the sea and going on his own little adventures. Opal is the only person in his family that actually treats him as one. They're both really close and he loves her dearly.
