Thank you ever so much for the kind words. <3

And sorry for the lateness of my reply.

Beautiful.  Once again, I love the added insight from the title.  And I have to say, I actually like it as the short piece it is (as opposed to expanding it).  It captures the deceptively fragile-looking resilience of the human spirit so well, just like this.  Lovely, top to bottom.

Thank you very much. I'm glad to know you like it as it is, I've tried to expand it many times but the more words I add the more superfluous they feel.

Well, if that doesn't prove that it's complete within itself, I don't know what does.  Nothing good ever came of arm-wrestling the muse!!

Welcome! Here it is..enjoy!

A Spider CursesA Spider Curses   9/3/01
A clear dew drop forms
on the spider's web.
It sparkles and grows and
spreads across the expansion.
The sun peeks through the
trees and a beam shoots
through the web displaying
the spectrum of colors,
the array that mesmerizes.
The spider crawls through
this intricate pattern
with ease and grace,
while it waits patiently for the
innocent insect to fall prey
to it's sticky trap.
The spider feels a tremor
as it's web falters and it
holds on to a single strand,
slamming into a tree.
It watches all the dew drops
scream to the ground.
His web disintegrates to
pieces and now he must start over.
If he could curse, he would,
at the stupid human who
just destroyed his home.

Poche parole ma molto significative che rende bene il concetto. Aspetto l'ampliamento della storia su questo  ragno che sono sicuro verrà molto bene.

I liked how the symbolism in this story really flowed through with its concept. With that said, I strongly recommend you expand on this particular story. Truly: The importance of cobwebs and the feelings that the spider has, forms a mythology in itself. I've read (in my own capacity) one story about Robert the Bruce. Amongst one of countless which hold importance anyway. The point I want to make is, do expand on how strength is important, because I feel you have a really really good start with the stanza as is.

Lots of luck with this one.

Thank you very much for the insightful comment Shehroze I'm glad you liked the concept...since I have various draft of this one I think I'll follow your advice and work on a longer free versed poem on the same subject.

^^^I agree with you. AlwaysRainCheck should expand on this because, while it's already super great, it could be even better with more detail.

Thank you for the fave and the comment, I'm glad it resonates with you. And as I said to Shehroze, when the time permits I will work on expanding it, my mind is already running with ideas.
