I hope I can manage to steer as far away from the anime influences as possible in the future..

(The original drawings were the first things I ever really attempted to draw, after getting Katy Coope's How to Draw Manga book... The horror.)

If you look at my first few images they are remarkably similar to yours . My love of drawing manga was sparked by the very same book. I have the image of the lady on the front cover with the pencil hanging around here somewhere. XD
Gaining your own style means you can adapt your drawing style based on many drawing styles and it's funny that when i look at your original drawings from that book it feels like i am looking at my own drawings. XD
