Description Normally I focuse on my characters more than my backgrounds. You can tell this by looking at my backgrounds, either it's a ground line and a sky or it just isn't colored very well ANYWHO. I see this and shall probably fix this occurance sometime. Or atleast I'll practice drawing better backgrounds..

SO this is against my norm because it's scenery, no characters, no pretty little animals. Just a creek in the woods. Well its some sort of water mass, I'll let yall decide! But I think it's a decent drawing, hope everyone likes it.

No scene in particular, just what my art teacher had me draw. No stealy please though, I worked hard on it!

This is very nice, I really like the texture the crosshatching gives the scenery. I've often run into the same problem, but it's good that you're taking some initiative now to remedy it. Forcing yourself to try drawing something new is also a great way to avoid stagnation in the creative process, so kudos to you! Plus once you develop your style a bit more, scenery and backgrounds will become easier.

Awww thank you a lot for the comment! I actually did this a long time ago, I still haven't gotten across to doing scenery as much but in a more recent class of mine I did something similar with still objects.... If the papers weren't HUGE I'd scan them and post em up to show... Hope you are having lots of luck in your drawing endeavors

Thank you!! It was a long time ago I drew this but still... I should probably take the time to do scenery more....

It doesn't hurt to try~ I'm not really good at scenery things. I could probably do better with practice, but... I just prefer drawing with a focus on one object.

maybe an inner forest scene, or a city, if you have the patience for drawing buildings and perspective (which i don't)

Fantastic! Perhaps I should dedicate more time to bg's. Considering what your norm is, this is a wonderful attempt. I like your leaves and the small detail you put on the rapids. It goes to show that the little things can make a big difference between a mass of scribbles and a rendering of a river.

Thanks a lot for the feedback!! I did have fun with this in class, it reminds me how the different use of simple lines can make something very interesting. I've got some other line work from a different art class, though nothing new scenery wise....Β

Take advantage of those classes. I didn't, so I fell waaay behind as an artist.

I do, I enjoy them because I draw things I otherwise would not think to draw on my own.... I like your art you're good even if you didn't "take advantage" of your art classes
