He got to the room, got to the body, when a sadness that weighed him like a stone forced him to leave. He wandered for a little while, wondering what he was going to do. What he was going to say when Robin inevitably confronted him.

The next thing he knew, he stood at the door of Raven's room. The silence was palpable, the hall lights glaring in Beast Boy's eyes. It was a wonder he heard not a sound. His eyes grazed the cool metal of her door. He wanted to go in. At least… he thought he did. There was reluctance.

This is her room, her sanctuary. To violate its… purity…

He chuckled at the thought. He was the only one who ever thought she was perfect. Now he couldn't see past the mundane air about her threshold. Yet… he had to enter. There was something there. He could smell it. And he wanted it… for some reason. It was Raven's.

At that second, his ears perked up at a sudden noise, destroying the silence. He recognized the gait. Robin.

He quickly pressed the button, the doors sliding open almost quietly. He slipped into the pitch of the room.

He sat on her bed, looking across at the bookshelf, scanning its contents.
