Description
Beast Boy felt the bright sunlight on his face as he awoke. He hissed aloud, holding a hand in front of his face. The entire night had past, yet it had felt like only minutes. AS he stretched himself awake, he thought about his dream… no, his meeting with Raven. A sudden sense of urgency seemed to grasp him, and he searched through the books sprawled across the room.
* This is a mess…* He thought.
* Aren't you used to those? * Came a familiar sarcastic rebuttal. Beast Boy laughed aloud as he looked.
"Yeah, I guess I am."
" You guess you are what?"

Beast Boy's head jerked up. Star stood bashfully in Raven's doorway, eyes a mixture of curious and… nervous.
" Heh, nothing Star, just… talking to myself."
" I see. Robin does this talking to the self often."
She walked slowly into the room, eyes scanning the numerous unintelligible texts that were scattered about. She piped up again.
" Are you doing a search for something?"
" Yeah, just looking for—"
Suddenly an image flashed in his mind. Of himself, with those evil violet eyes, with something in his hand… a wicked blade, a thing heavy with energy and black as shadow.
" – A blade!"
This sudden outburst startled Starfire terribly, and she dropped one of the books she had picked up. She turned to him, only to see that he had risen from the bed, and was walking towards Raven's chest of drawers. He opened the top drawer, pulling out Raven's infamous mirror. He then walked back to the bed, putting his hand just under her sheets. He pulled out a small box, no bigger than his palm, with a symbol sewn into its lid:

Four blood red eyes.
*How does he know these locations? * Star wondered, and was soon following him down the halls of the Tower asking him just that.
" I just do, Star. Me and Rae… are close."
Star stopped walking, watching Beast Boy trudge down the hallway with a mission.
She turned around, walking towards the great room, to her other teammates. She worried for the green teen, and wished to tell her comrades of his strange behavior.

Beast Boy found the perfect spot on the Tower roof for his important ritual. Raven's old spot. It still held her energy, more than in any other spot. He sat down with a thump, tossing the mysterious book out in front of him, open to the page required. He then placed the mirror just in front of it, setting the box on top of the mirror. Then he began to read aloud.

" Raios minthrahn duoh Zinthos. Azarath Introhk eyn Faltraught ghoil ighymn. Hysacayn jhi Metrion-ui daahg. Azarath, Metrion. Zinthossss."

An ice cold breeze blew past them… him, in a rush. The mirror's face began to glow with deep purple energy, and the box shook once, twice on its surface. He read on.

" Raios minthrahn Chtiro Kahnma duoh daahg. Hui-luo pherilh Sohle Azarathus Zinthinn. Azarath. Metrion. Zinthos!"

The box fairly vibrated against the glass, with radiated freezing energy as it shone with darkness, a thing unexplainable. He opened the box. Inside resided four stones, each representing one of Raven's teammates. They were designed for protection. He gently lifted out the bright green stone, representing himself. He placed it on the mirror's surface, watching as the cold itself made the jewel crackle loudly. Then he pulled out the last piece of the ritual: a key. The key went to his most prized possession: His videogame collection. The wind was now a shrieking gale of wintery wrath.
He spoke once more.
"Faltraught, awaken!"
He struck down the key upon the mirror, crushing the jewel and cracking the mirror. There was a radiant flash, and the light blinded Beast Boy. The wind immediately stopped, and an intense sweltering heat smothered the cold air.
Beast Boy squinted into the darkness. There on the roof lay a broken mirror, a shattered gem… and a shadow.
