Description
One of my favourite Silmarillion elves. I think silver hair is rare among elves, but I always see Beleg with it.(I won't have time for a while to work on a few larger WIPs for my annamare account, so it's going to be quick sketches and practice pieces for now. My tablet is misbehaving so the brush strokes are jagged and erratic - and I've no idea how to solve the problem...)
[Nov 2017 edit: I finally found time to revise this sketch because Beleg deserves better art! The new portrait is on my other account, where my bigger or more detailed non-fanfic pieces usually end up.]

Your Beleg is more of a pretty boy than he is in my headcanon, but I really don't mind that at all! 
For some reason, he's silver-haired in my headcanon too, but very tall and broad-shouldered. Then again, that might just be because he's an archer and has this huge bow that I imagine would take a lot of power to draw.

To be honest, I headcanon him looking the way you do. I'll paint him in future looking truly like a Strongbow, but this was another of my quick sketches that turned out looking so young, that I think he is the elven equivalent of thirteen here. That would be... hmmm... about thirty-five coranari?

And here Beleg proves that elves are nothing but traps. At first I thought 'Oh, what a beautiful elf. Is that Celebrian?' then I saw the name and justΒ 'He's a guy?!'
But no, he looks great. It gives off a sort of dream like feel I love it.

yeah, you can almost imagine that silver hair is for Elves what red hair may be for humans: very rare, and you needs the right genes from the parents to get it
I like the idea of Celebrian getting the genes for silver hair from both Celeborn and, thought Galadriel, EΓ€rwen

Yes - and yet though I don't think of Beleg as related to anyone in the Olwe/Elwe/Elmo clan, I really do like him with silver hair!
I guess I could headcanon him as related to Galathil and Nimloth.
