Stop is like a certain stage in life! Especially in this picture where an elderly man had just gone off the tram.
He stopped just as the expectation that something, than any other in the background starts to move forward, and he remains here alone in cold world. Interesting symbolic meaning! Very beautiful! Fantastic composition and light!

Really nice street shooting and print making Betty and emotional capture. So much contained here. I find the windows add much to the scene because each contain mystery people that support to he puzzlement of the gentleman shown. Its curious to me how he grasps his package (in these times of terrorism it could be suspect...holding a bomb?) like he is not certain where to go and what to do but the package keeps him grounded.

I don´t know what to think about the package, but I don´t think I would connect it with terrorism, he looks so lovely and innocent!
I have a sad feeling from this photo, but I tried to persuade myself that maybe nothing dramatic is here. Maybe just a sudden idea came to his head, maybe he realised that he something had forgotten... Maybe in a few minutes he will be with his friend or with his wife.

Hodně zajímavý, na mě ne zrovna moc optimisticky působící snímek. Výraz toho starého pána asi opravdu říká vše... Zvláštně s ním kontrastují ty tvrdé, neosobní linie vpravo a moc se mi líbí i odraz odcházející paní. Jakoby sám mezi tisíci...

Děkuji za krásný komentář Jirko, "jakoby sám mezi tisíci" přesně vystihuje i mé pocity z téhle situace, která vypadá dost smutně... ale zase si říkám, že vlastně vůbec nevím, co se na tom obrázku odehrává, a třeba to není vůbec smutné, třeba si ten pán jenom na něco najednou vzpoměl a zůstal stát v zamyšlení, kdo ví?

Glen, I think that you read his expression absolutely perfectly. He really seemed not to know which way he should go at the moment when he got off the tram. He even touched his mouths a second ago, as if he realised that it wasn´t the right stop.
